OnePlus 5 Receives its Very First Update OxygenOS 4.5.2; Promises Bug Fixes and Optimizations

After a week’s launch, OnePlus 5 is now receiving a software update over-the-air (OTA). Although the update brings no new features to the table, it promises several bug fixes and system optimizations. The patch is rolling out as Oxygen OS 4.5.2 and weighs around 36MB in size.

Early users of OnePlus 5 reported of having troubles while installing applications on their device. However, this bug is supposedly fixed in the latest update. Apart from that, the new update also improves the stability of the system, the network strength, and the Bluetooth feature. It also brings several optimizations to the built-in camera application as well as its compatibility with 3rd party applications.

As with every OTA updates, it may take a while before it reaches your device. However, you can always check for updates manually by visiting Settings -> About Device -> Software Update. Nonetheless, to say, you should make sure that your device has at least 60% charge before installing the update. Recalling the specs of OnePlus 5, it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display.
